2022 NY Jets spring depth chart preview: Linebackers

The NY Jets knew that they needed help at linebacker this past offseason, and while it wasn't addressed, there's a good chance that the significant improvement in other defensive areas may help cover the weaknesses this leaves at linebacker.

With the fantastic play of veteran C.J. Mosley leading the way, New York will always have a chance to compete. But with so many unproven yet talented names around him, this will be a group that could make or break this defense in 2022.

1. What are the pros of the 2022 NY Jets linebacker group?

While the leader of this group is veteran and former Pro Bowler C.J. Mosley, the biggest pro for this group may be that the rest of the unit is comprised of young, athletic studs that are ready to make an impact at the next level.

We saw the impact that Quincy Williams made at times in 2021, and with another year of experience and some new, young additions, this group could take a step up in 2022 and possibly even win the Jets some games.

Sure, this group will certainly make mistakes, especially with some of the high-powered offenses that they'll be matched up with. But young potential is something this team and this unit are full of, and they'll sink or swim with that ideology.
