Former NY Jets on the New Orleans Breakers
• CB Derrick Jones
• Noel Mazzone (coach)
One of the more notable players on this list, cornerback Derrick Jones was a sixth-round pick of the Jets in the 2017 NFL Draft. A converted wide receiver, Jones had a couple of strong summers with the Jets but never really broke through.
Jones appeared in four games over two years and was released in August of 2019. He's the only former Jets player currently on the New Orleans Breakers roster, and the only former Jets draft pick in the USFL.
However, the Breakers' offensive coordinator, Noel Mazzone, spent time with the Jets from 2006 to 2008 as the team's wide receivers coach. He's also been an offensive coordinator at a number of prominent Power 5 schools such as Texas A&M and UCLA.
Former NY Jets on the Tampa Bay Bandits
• OL Corbin Kaufusi
• S Anthony Cioffi
• Todd Haley (coach)
The younger of the two Kaufusi brothers, Corbin Kaufusi was signed to the Jets' practice squad in mid-2019 and spent about a year-and-a-half with the organization, although he never appeared in a game.
Safety Anthony Cioffi is a local Rutgers product who was signed by the Jets in 2020 after a couple of years in the CFL. He spent the summer with the team before being waived.
One of the most notable members of the USFL is former Kansas City Chiefs head coach Todd Haley. Haley began his career as a scouting assistant with the Jets in 1995 and was even the team's wide receivers coach from 1997 to 2000.
