The NY Jets promised that they would be aggressive this offseason in pursuit of significant roster upgrades. Although they failed to capitalize on the trade market, the Jets ensured that they kept that promise in the 2022 NFL Draft.

They traded back into Round 1 on Thursday to land their third first-round pick in the form of Florida State pass rusher Jermaine Johnson. They traded up ahead of the Houston Texans to secure running back Breece Hall the following day.

The Jets have maintained their aggressiveness and have shown a clear commitment to building around Zach Wilson. Will it pay off? That much remains to be seen. But as of now, it's hard not to be encouraged by the Jets' draft.

With two picks early in the fourth round, Saturday could be another eventful day for the Jets. Let's take a look at 14 players they could target early on Day 3.

14. NY Jets target: Khalil Shakir, WR, Boise State

Would the Jets dare add another offensive skill player? Don't rule it out just yet. If they do, Boise State wide receiver Khalil Shakir remains one of the top options still available.

At 5-foot-11, 196 pounds, Shakir is a smooth route-runner who put together a decorated career at Boise State. He's not an elite athlete nor does he have top-tier size, but Shakir is well-rounded and versatile with experience as a return man as well.

13. NY Jets target: Darrian Beavers, LB, Cincinnati

It seems very feasible that the Jets could target a linebacker with one of their final two remaining picks, and one intriguing name is Cincinnati's Darrian Beavers.

Beavers was born and raised in Cincinnati and was teammates with new Jet Sauce Gardner in college. At 6-foot-3, 237 pounds, Beavers provides an exciting blend of size, athleticism, and instincts that should see him drafted early on Day 3.
