Good teams find ways to win good games. They find ways to win even when things don't go their way. They overcome adversity. They win games even when they shouldn't. The NY Jets are not a good football game.

The Jets fell just short again in their Week 6 clash with the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. The Jets had an opportunity to secure first place in the AFC East beyond the month of September for the first time since 2010.

They had an opportunity to rewrite the narrative and start anew with a new head coach. Instead, the Jets lost this game in essentially the exact same way they lost to the Minnesota Vikings a week ago.

An Aaron Rodgers pass was intercepted on the Jets' final drive after wide receiver Mike Williams fell down. Robert Saleh was fired. The Jets changed offensive play-callers. Yet, the result was the exact same.

You can make all the coaching changes you want, it doesn't change the fact that the Jets are a bad football team.

NY Jets season on life support after MNF loss to the Bills

The Jets left double-digit points on the field in this game. A third-quarter Braelon Allen touchdown was called back due to a Tyron Smith holding penalty that had essentially no impact on the play. Two plays later, Greg Zuerlein shanked a 32-yard field goal.

It was one of two misses for Zuerlein on the night, who also misfired on a 43-yard attempt in the fourth quarter. For those keeping score at home, that's at least 10 points (really 13) the Jets left on the board.

The Jets were penalized 11 times for 110 yards. Their defense struggled mightily in the first half and came up small when it mattered most. Defensive end Micheal Clemons bit on a Josh Allen play fake on the final drive, allowing the Bills to run out the clock.

It's the same story that's been on repeat for years now. Firing Saleh didn't fix the Jets' issues — it just shifted the blame.

Despite Aaron Rodgers' mostly brilliant performance and the offense's newfound success, the Jets just can't get out of their own way. They can't convert in the red zone. They can't come up with big defensive stops. They can't find ways to win.

That's because the Jets are a bad football team. And at 2-4, their season is now on life support. They already fired their head coach. They demoted their offensive play-caller. What's next?
