A former New York Jets and Green Bay Packers quarterback has officially signed with a new team — and no, it’s not Aaron Rodgers. That’s right, Tim Boyle is back in the NFL after signing a one-year deal with the Tennessee Titans on Wednesday.
Boyle incredibly appeared in three games split between the Miami Dolphins and New York Giants in 2024, throwing one touchdown and one interception while completing 54 percent of his passes.
Now, Boyle joins a Titans quarterback room that features the likes of Will Levis, Brandon Allen, and possibly soon-to-be Cam Ward. The Titans are miraculously the eighth different NFL organization Boyle has signed with in his seven-year NFL career.
Boyle started two games for the Jets in 2023, including the infamous 30-0 disaster on Black Friday against the Dolphins. Somehow, some way, he continues to receive NFL opportunities. You have to respect the hustle.

Jets attend Texas pro day
The University of Texas hosted its annual pro day on Tuesday, and the Jets had a significant presence at the event. Head coach Aaron Glenn and co-director of player personnel Jon Carr were among those representing the Jets in Austin this week.
Texas has a number of highly-touted prospects expected to be drafted this year, with quarterback Quinn Ewers and wide receiver Matthew Golden among the most notable.
The Jets already had a formal meeting with Ewers, a projected mid-round pick in this year's draft, at the NFL Combine last month. The team also met with Texas tight end Gunnar Helm in Indianapolis.
All three of Ewers, Golden, and Helm could be targets for the Jets in next month's draft. It's certainly notable that the organization decided to send some of its chief talent evaluators to Austin for the school's pro day.
Jets contract numbers revealed
The Jets took an interesting approach with their free-agency process this offseason, signing just two players — Justin Fields and Brandon Stephens — to multi-year deals. The process aligns with the current state of the organization.
The official contract details for every signing have now been revealed, and they only further highlight just how frugal the Jets have been in free agency. Of the Jets' 13 external signings, only four players received more than $1.6 million in total salary.
The likes of edge rusher Rashad Weaver and defensive tackle Jay Tufele received no guaranteed money, while players like tight end Stone Smartt, wide receiver Tyler Johnson, defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi, and cornerback Kris Boyd received very little in guarantees.
The majority of the players the Jets signed in free agency will be competing for roster spots this summer. Based on their contracts, the only additions essentially guaranteed a spot on the 53-man roster are Justin Fields, Brandon Stephens, Andre Cisco, and Josh Myers. That leaves plenty of jobs up for grabs once training camp kicks off.
