Haason Reddick finally made his long-awaited NY Jets debut in the team's Week 8 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, finishing the game with three pressures and zero total tackles.
It was an inauspicious debut for Reddick, who is already dealing with an injury after just one game. Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich told reporters on Monday that Reddick suffered a neck injury in Sunday's loss.
Reddick was estimated as a limited participant on Monday (the Jets did not hold an official practice) and Ulbrich insisted the team is not concerned about his status for Week 9.
However, Reddick's status is worth monitoring with a short week ahead of the Jets' Thursday Night Football matchup with the Houston Texans on Halloween. We'll see if Ulbrich provides more accurate injury assessments than his predecessor.

Will the Jets release Greg Zuerlein?
Greg Zuerlein has statistically been the worst kicker in the NFL this season. While this Jets team has issues that extend far beyond their special teams, Zuerlein has been at least partially responsible for three Jets losses this season, including this past Sunday when he missed an extra point and a 44-yard field goal attempt.
Zuerlein has now connected on just 5-of-11 field goals from 30+ yards. He's made one kick longer than 40 yards all season. Despite this, the Jets haven't made a change yet.
Ulbrich told reporters on Monday that the Jets will bring in kickers for a competition during Tuesday's practice, similar to the approach the team took earlier this month. The Jets did not commit to Zuerlein being their kicker on Thursday night.
The team might be hesitant to cut ties with Zuerlein, after handing him $4.2 million in guarantees this past offseason. Woody Johnson might not want to eat that contract, but at this point, what choice does he really have?
Jeff Ulbrich not changing play-callers
The decision to fire Robert Saleh and replace him with Jeff Ulbrich looks worse by the week, not necessarily because Saleh didn't deserve to be fired but because it's clearly amplified the Jets' problems and made their situation worse.
Ulbrich has now been handed all of Saleh's responsibilities on top of his responsibilities as the team's defensive coordinator and defensive playcaller. The Jets' defense has predictably taken a step back since Saleh's departure.
Despite this, Ulbrich isn't ready to relinquish play-calling duties just yet. The interim head coach told reporters on Monday that he will remain the defensive playcaller moving forward.
Part of the issue could be a lack of options. Defensive backs coach Marquand Manuel is the only member of the Jets' defensive staff to have been a defensive coordinator at the NFL level, and even he didn't call plays for most of his tenure.
