New York Jets fans have found themselves rooting for the Cleveland Browns in recent weeks, as some good performances and wins from polarizing rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders would indirectly help a squad that will need to overturn every stone in search of their next franchise quarterback.

While the plight of the Las Vegas Raiders makes it almost a virtual certainty that they will end up with one of the top picks in the 2026 NFL Draft and a premier shot at Indiana Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Fernando Mendoza, the Jets may be targeting Oregon's Dante Moore or Alabama's Ty Simpson if he gets back on track.

The better Sanders plays, the less likely a three-win Browns team may be to picking someone else as their next franchise savior. Some rumblings make it seem like Sanders may indeed be under center again.

The Jets may have the luxury of landing a top quarterback without parting ways with tons of premier assets in that scenario.

Sanders doesn't scream franchise quarterback, but the Browns may not be 100% locked in on taking one of the top young guns after seeing what he can do. The Jets need to hope the best of Colorado Sanders comes out in the next three games to further solidify the notion that
