Aaron Glenn and the New York Jets will conclude their three-game NFC North gauntlet in Week 4 with a road matchup against a Chicago Bears team that will be without Caleb Williams yet again.

Former Detroit Lions assistants will square off, as Ben Johnson leads his 2-1 Bears team into a matchup with a 1-2 Jets squad coming off consecutive heartbreaking losses. Chicago is, of course, without its starting quarterback, but the Jets may be even more injury-riddled.

The Jets have already ruled out five players for their Week 4 matchup, including four starters on the offensive side of the ball. Running back Breece Hall (quad), wide receiver Adonai Mitchell (finger), tight end Mason Taylor (thumb), left guard Dylan Parham (knee), and backup linebacker Kiko Mauigoa (quad) all will not play this week.

The team has elevated veteran WR Sterling Shepard and undrafted rookie LB Jaden Keller from the practice squad to serve as reinforcements. Shepard hauled in a crucial two-point conversion in his Jets debut a week ago.

Meanwhile, tight end Kenyon Sadiq (back) and edge rusher Kingsley Enagbare (knee) are listed as questionable after each player was limited in practice last week. Both players seem to be on track to play.

Defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick (groin) and kick returner Kene Nwangwu (back) are off the injury report and are expected to make their returns after practicing fully all week.

As for the Bears, they have ruled out LT Braxton Jones (knee), QB Caleb Williams (hamstring), DB Kyler Gordon (calf), LB Noah Sewell (Achilles), and DL Shemar Turner (knee). Gordon, Sewell, and Turner remain on the PUP list and will hope to return in the near future. DB Cam Lewis is listed as doubtful with a hip injury.

Running back D'Andre Swift (knee) popped up on the injury report on Thursday and did not practice, but he returned on Friday and does not have an injury designation entering Sunday's game.

Who are the official inactives for both the Jets and the Bears today? We've got you covered.

Full inactives list for New York Jets in Week 4

  • RB Breece Hall
  • WR Adonai Mitchell
  • TE Mason Taylor
  • OG Dylan Parham
  • LB Kiko Mauigoa
  • CB Nahshon Wright
  • EDGE Kingsley Enagbare

The Jets will be without running back Breece Hall in Week 4 after he suffered a quad injury in last week's game. Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis are expected to lead the backfield, with the returning Kene Nwangwu serving as the third-stringer.

Wide receiver Adonai Mitchell will miss another week with a finger injury. With Mitchell, Omar Cooper Jr., Tim Patrick, and Arian Smith all sidelined, the Jets' wide receiver room will consist of Garrett Wilson, Isaiah Williams, Sterling Shepard (elevated from the practice squad), Malik McClain, and Jamaal Pritchett in today's game.

Tight end Mason Taylor is out again with a thumb injury, which will once again put the spotlight on rookie Kenyon Sadiq. Fresh off a breakout performance in Week 3, Sadiq will lead a Jets tight end room that also features Jeremy Ruckert, Jelani Woods, and hybrid fullback Andrew Beck.

Veteran offensive lineman Jordan Meredith, acquired by the Jets in a trade with the Raiders shortly before the start of the regular season, will start in place of Dylan Parham at left guard. Kohl Levao is the only backup interior lineman active for today's game.

Backup linebacker and core special-teamer Kiko Mauigoa is inactive again with a quad injury. The Jets elevated undrafted rookie Jaden Keller from their practice squad, and the Virginia Tech product will make his NFL debut in today's game. Troy Reeder and Trevin Wallace are also active as backup linebackers.

Cornerback Nahshon Wright is a healthy scratch again, as the Jets will return defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick this week. Wright has yet to play a snap for the Jets so far this season.

Kingsley Enagbare is a somewhat surprise inactive. Enagbare was listed as questionable after popping up on the injury report with a knee injury on Wednesday. He did not practice on Thursday, returned in a limited capacity on Friday, and was reportedly trending toward playing. Instead, he's out.

The Jets will lean on David Bailey, Joseph Ossai, Will McDonald, and Braiden McGregor to lead their edge room in Week 4.

  • QB Caleb Williams
  • DB Cam Lewis
  • OT Ozzy Trapilo
  • DL Jayden Loving
  • DL James Lynch
  • DL Jamree Kromah

The Bears will, of course, be without starting quarterback Caleb Williams in today's game. While Chicago has yet to announce a starting QB, the expectation is that Tyson Bagent will start today, with Case Keenum returning to a backup role after his impressive Week 3 performance.

The Bears will also be down to their third-string left tackle, as backup Braxton Jones was placed on the injured reserve on Saturday with a knee injury. Starter Ozzy Trapilo is a "healthy" scratch as he continues to work his way back from injury. Theo Benedet is expected to start at left tackle.
