The New York Jets will enter their Week 15 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars a little worse for wear, specifically in their quarterback room. Undrafted rookie Brady Cook is set to make his first career NFL start, as the Jets are down to their third and fourth-string quarterbacks.

Cook will become the first undrafted QB to start a game for the Jets in 50 years, as Tyrod Taylor (groin) and Justin Fields (knee) are sidelined for another week. The newly re-signed Adrian Martinez will serve as Cook's backup.

The Jets are hoping to play spoiler against a Jaguars team that has won four straight games to surge to the top of the AFC South. Both the Texans and Colts remain in striking distance, so this is a massive game for Jacksonville.

The Jets aren't just dealing with quarterback injuries, however. The team has also ruled out a trio of rookies in cornerback Azareye'h Thomas (shoulder), tight end Mason Taylor (neck), and linebacker Kiko Mauigoa (neck).

Thomas was placed on the injured reserve on Sunday, prematurely ending his rookie season. Tight end Stone Smartt (concussion) is also listed as questionable and is likely to miss today's game unless he clears concussion protocol in a week's time.

Linebacker Cam Jones (hip) was activated off the injured reserve on Saturday and is listed as questionable for Week 15. The expectation is that he will make his return this week.

Jacksonville only has two players on its final injury report, with wide receiver Parker Washington (hip) and offensive tackle Walker Little (concussion) listed as questionable. Both players were full participants in practice on Friday.

Who are the official inactives for both the Jets and the Jaguars today? We've got you covered.

Full inactives list for New York Jets in Week 15

  • QB Justin Fields
  • QB Tyrod Taylor
  • TE Mason Taylor
  • EDGE Braiden McGregor
  • LB Kiko Mauigoa
  • WR Tyler Johnson
  • DT Mazi Smith

The Jets will be without their top two quarterbacks in Week 15, as both Justin Fields (knee) and Tyrod Taylor (groin) will miss this game. This is the second week in a row that Fields has been sidelined, and there are already questions about whether he will be active for another game this season.

As for Taylor, he suffered a groin injury in last Sunday's loss to the Miami Dolphins and was replaced by UDFA rookie Brady Cook. Cook will make his first NFL start today, with Adrian Martinez — freshly re-signed and elevated from the practice squad — serving as his backup.

Starting tight end Mason Taylor will also miss his first game of the season due to a neck injury. Backup Stone Smartt, who suffered a concussion in Week 14, is surprisingly active after clearing protocol.

Expect to see plenty of Jeremy Ruckert, Smartt, and Jelani Woods, who is active for only the third time this season. Woods has played just one snap this season but could be in line for a larger role today, along with hybrid fullback Andrew Beck.

Rookie linebacker Francisco Mauigoa is also inactive after suffering a neck injury last week. The Jets activated Cam Jones from the injured reserve on Saturday, and he, along with Mykal Walker and Kobe King, will provide depth at linebacker. Expect Walker to fill in as the team's third linebacker.
