The New York Jets will enter their Week 14 matchup with the Miami Dolphins playing their best football of the season. The Jets have won three of their last five games, including a 27-24 thriller against the Atlanta Falcons a week ago.
Aaron Glenn’s squad has taken a significant step forward from its 0-7 start, an impressive feat considering they’ve done it without the three best players on their Week 1 roster: Sauce Gardner, Quinnen Williams, and Garrett Wilson.
Tyrod Taylor has helped stabilize the Jets' offense since taking over for Justin Fields, who is one of a number of players ruled out for the team on Sunday. Fields will miss Week 14 due to a knee injury, prompting undrafted rookie Brady Cook to take his place as QB2.
The Dolphins, meanwhile, are also playing some of their best ball of the season. Miami has won three in a row and four of its last five to climb to 5-7 and is technically still alive in the playoff hunt. They realistically need a win today to remain in the chase.
The Jets have ruled out Fields (knee), cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr. (hip - IR), linebacker Marcelino McCrary-Ball (hamstring - IR), and linebacker Cam Jones (hip - IR), while safety Tony Adams (groin) is listed as doubtful and cornerback Qwan'tez Stiggers (concussion) is questionable.
The Jets elevated cornerbacks Tre Brown and Nik Needham from their practice squad and signed undrafted rookie Jordan Clark to their 53-man roster, which doesn't bode well for Stiggers' availability.
As for the Dolphins, they have listed four players as questionable for today's game, two of whom are former Jets: QB Zach Wilson (illness), center Aaron Brewer (ankle/neck/knee), defensive back Elijah Campbell (ankle), and safety Ifeatu Melifonwu (thumb/groin). Campbell is the only player expected to be in doubt.

The Jets will be without quarterback Justin Fields, who has been ruled out with a knee injury. Jets head coach Aaron Glenn was hesitant about Fields' status moving forward, so don't be surprised to see Brady Cook — freshly signed to the 53-man roster — retain QB2 status for at least another week and potentially longer.
Safety Tony Adams, who was downgraded to doubtful on Saturday, will also be sidelined. Expect to see veteran Isaiah Oliver and potentially undrafted rookie Dean Clark fill in at safety alongside Malachi Moore.
Cornerback Qwan'tez Stiggers is active despite sustaining a concussion last week. Stiggers was a full participant in practice all week and was able to clear concussion protocol in time for today's game.
The Jets elevated Tre Brown and Nik Needham from their practice squad and also have undrafted rookie Jordan Clark, who can fill in at cornerback. Ja'Sir Taylor, who started at nickel last week, is a healthy scratch.
Rookie wide receiver Arian Smith returns to the active game-day roster after he was a healthy scratch a week ago. Tyler Johnson takes his place on the inactive list in Week 14.
