The New York Jets will travel to Foxborough on a short week for a Week 11 matchup with the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football. The Jets enter this game riding an unexpected two-game winning streak in search of a third improbable victory in a row.

Aaron Glenn's squad picked up its first two wins of the season in their last two games against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8 and the Cleveland Browns in Week 10. Their competition tonight, however, poses much more of a challenge.

The Patriots are riding a wave of momentum as the NFL's hottest team, having won seven straight to surge to 8-2 and first place in the AFC East. Drake Maye is playing like an MVP candidate, while Mike Vrabel has Patriots fans dreaming of an unlikely Super Bowl run.

The Jets haven't found that same luck. Their quarterback, Justin Fields, is on the verge of being benched for the second time this season, and a poor performance tonight could seal his fate.

Fields will be without star wide receiver Garrett Wilson, who was placed on the injured reserve on Thursday and will miss at least the next four games. Wilson isn't the only Jets player on their injury report, though.

Defensive end Will McDonald (quadriceps), defensive tackle Harrison Phillips (foot), offensive lineman Xavier Newman (ankle), running back Khalil Herbert (groin), and defensive end Braiden McGregor (shoulder) are all listed as questionable.

Cornerback Azareye'h Thomas has been ruled out with a concussion that he suffered this past Sunday. The Jets elevated Jarius Monroe from their practice squad to provide extra defensive back depth.

As for the Patriots, running back Rhamondre Stevenson (toe), wide receiver Kayshon Boutte (hamstring), tight end Austin Hooper (concussion), and linebacker Christian Elliss (hip) have been ruled out. Defensive lineman Joshua Farmer (ankle) and running back Terrell Jennings (knee) are questionable.

Who are the official inactives for both the Jets and the Patriots tonight? We've got you covered.

  • CB Azareye'h Thomas
  • TE Jelani Woods
  • DE Braiden McGregor
  • RB Khalil Herbert
  • LB Ja'Markis Weston

The Jets will be down one of their starting cornerbacks after rookie Azareye'h Thomas suffered a concussion this past Sunday. The team elevated Jarius Monroe from their practice squad to provide extra depth, but their choice of starter in Thomas' place remains to be seen.

The Jets could do what they did last week, moving Jarvis Brownlee from the nickel to outside corner, with veteran Isaiah Oliver taking his place in the slot. However, Brownlee struggled mightily at outside cornerback. The team could instead opt to start Qwan'tez Stiggers on the boundary, with Brownlee manning the slot.

Braiden McGregor is inactive after dealing with a shoulder injury in practice this week. Rookie Tyler Baron will be active for the first time since Week 5.

Undrafted rookie linebacker Ja'Markis Weston is a healthy scratch for the first time since he was activated to the 53-man roster. Rookie Kiko Mauigoa is back in the lineup, and the Jets opted to have Kobe King active over Weston.

The Patriots will be down four key players in Week 11. Starting running back Rhamondre Stevenson will miss another game due to a toe injury, allowing rookie TreVeyon Henderson to handle lead back duties again.

Wide receiver Kayshon Boutte will miss his second game with a hamstring injury, while linebacker remains sidelined due to a hip injury. The likes of Mack Hollins and rookie Kyle Williams will fill in for Boutte, while Jack Gibbens will start in place of Elliss.

Tight end Austin Hooper will miss his first game of the season due to a concussion. Meanwhile, the Patriots elevated running back D'Ernest Johnson and linebacker Darius Harris from their practice squad, with Stevenson and Elliss out.
