Jets fans will cry in despair after Aaron Glenn's latest quote on Justin Fields

What a disgrace.

The New York Jets' 13-11 defeat to the Denver Broncos saw their much-maligned defense put together its most spirited effort of the season. Unfortunately, it didn't mean anything after Justin Fields put together one of the worst quarterback performances in recent NFL history.

Fields' performance was so inept that a plurality of backup quarterbacks in the NFL would have likely won that game. Fans are now demanding that veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor get some extra playing time, but head coach Aaron Glenn seems unwilling to let him get that chance based on some unacceptable post-game quotes

Glenn retorted with "What kind of question is that?" when pressed about the possibility of benching Fields. To act like anyone even thinking of putting Tyrod in the game was unbecoming of a beat reporter is not going to go over well with a fanbase that is already begging for any scrap of positivity.

Aaron Glenn continuing to stick with Justin Fields as QB is a mess for Jets fans

Fields completed just nine passes and was sacked nine times, giving the Jets a whopping -10 passing yards on the day. That performance was the worst in Jets history and the worst by an NFL team in the last 27 years. Not even thinking about a change is bordering on malpractice.

Based solely on everything that happened between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Glenn shouldn't necessarily be at fault for how he coached this game, as Fields was so in his head that it was borderline impossible for anyone to run an NFL offense against an elite Broncos defense.

Fields has failed to break out against two very beatable defenses in the Dolphins and Cowboys, and he was as bad as any Jets quarterback has ever been against Denver. The Jets are headed nowhere fast, but a team that needs to break the winless streak needs to try anything that could help them get out of this funk.

The Jets are once again the dregs of the NFL, and Glenn is certainly not endearing himself to a fanbase that has thrown away all of the goodwill they gave him when he returned to this team.
