Tuesday morning, after the New York Jets decided to fire head coach Robert Saleh, everyone and their brother had an opinion or possible reasoning behind Woody Johnson's decision.

The Jets were in disarray, offensively, and Rodgers had clearly been frustrated for multiple games with the output on that side of the ball. Changes needed to be made, whether it was with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett or even as far as going up to Saleh's position.

Did quarterback Aaron Rodgers have anything to do with the firing? Tuesday, shortly after the news broke, we heard that Rodgers did not have a hand in the decision to let Saleh go. But, you better believe people wanted to hear it straight from the man's mouth.

Was there ever a doubt he'd speak on it? Was there ever a doubt he'd speak his mind, for that matter?

It might have felt like longer than 24 hours, but we had just gotten past that mark as Rodgers went public for the first time.

Of course, Rodgers did so on The Pat McAfee Show, Wednesday.

He cut right to the chase when speaking on any rumors of him being the reason why Saleh was fired.

"As far as any of the ridiculous allegations out there, I'm not going to spend more than one sentence in response to it, and that is that I resent any of those accusations because they are patently false. It's interesting the amount of power people think that I have ... I love Robert," Rodgers said.

There you have it.

Aaron Rodgers did not, in fact, have anything to do with the firing of Robert Saleh.

Aaron Rodgers had a great relationship with Robert Saleh, contrary to what media might portray

Throughout the early portion of this season, there have been plenty of people who have questioned and criticized Rodgers' relationship with his former head coach.

Whether it be just a short snippet of a sideline exchange between the two that went viral, some postgame comments or any other narrative that folks have wanted to build, there has not been a a shortage of overreactions.

The truth of the matter is, Rodgers respected and loved his head coach. If there was ever a doubt, that's exactly what the quarterback stated publicly in effort to put all of the silly, talking heads to bed.

"Robert is a fantastic human being and a damn good football coach," the quarterback said of his former head coach.

From here, the assumption is that Rodgers will likely reject the majority of questions regarding Saleh. His personality is typically all business, unless he decides to go the occasional snarky route. But, now that Jeff Ulbrich is in and Saleh is out, the focus will be squarely on figuring this thing out and turning the season around.
