The New York Jets are the only winless team left in the NFL, which has once again put them in a spot to sell some of their better assets for NFL Draft picks, as the Aaron Glenn era began with five straight losses.
Trade speculation is popping up once again, as running back Breece Hall has once again found himself in the rumor mill. However, given his importance to the offense, the Jets may not be very wise if they look at him and boot him out of town for a fourth-round pick or some other paltry return.
Many other players on the roster, however, are fair game.
4 non-Breece Hall Jets players who could be traded
4. WR Allen Lazard
This one is a forgone conclusion. Lazard can't get any snaps in the worst wide receiver room, has struggled when he is on the field, and is very clearly mentally checked out. If they get a seventh-round pick for him, that should be considered a solid return.
3. OG Alijah Vera-Tucker
Crazy? Not really. FOX Sports' Ralph Vacchiano claims that the Jets could still try to move off AVT at the trade deadline if they aren't going to bring him back, and teams might be willing to bring him in and sign him to a one-year contract for 2026. With Josh Myers and Joe Tippmann both excelling this season, Vera-Tucker might need to be shopped.
2. LB Quincy Williams
The Jets appear to have made a terrible mistake in paying Jamien Sherwood after his horrible start to 2025, but it seems unlikely that the Jets will hand two inside linebackers with similar playstyles big money. Williams could be moved already for a pick if the Jets have accepted their fate as one of the worst defenses in the NFL.
1. DT Quinnen Williams
The Jets absolutely should not do this move if they want to fix this wretched defense, but Williams, who has played like a Pro Bowler once again, might force their hands. The end of the 2025 season might mark his seventh straight season in the NFL, where he hasn't even managed a winning record. This guy might want to win.
Many of the other top players on this roster do not have tradeable contracts, and Williams, who has only a few million left in guaranteed money on his deal, could get the kind of Jamal Adams-like haul that Joe Douglas used to refuel the roster. Perhaps Darren Mougey could do the same.
