1. The NY Jets will trade the No. 34 pick

There was a ton of talk about how the top-15 of the 2021 NFL Draft was more stacked and guaranteed than the rest of the draft. As such, Joe Douglas moved into the top-15 and got the player he wanted.

By doing so, he gave up two third-round picks, which are very valuable selections in the NFL Draft.

Since the Jets only hold one pick from No. 34 – No.107, expect New York to trade back to secure more draft capital. Who knows what that exact package looks like, but the Jets have the luxury of moving back if they want.

Douglas has already set his franchise up for success by grabbing a starting quarterback and starting offensive lineman, so he can move back to get back a draft pick that he traded away yesterday.

It’ll be interesting to see how far they move back or who’s willing to part ways with draft capital to get the No. 34 pick, but it would be shocking to me if the team actually drafts in the spot they’re supposed to.

We’ll have to wait and see what happens tonight, but be ready for another trade, Jets fans.
