2. NY Jets draft target: Trevon Grimes, Florida

Trevon Grimes was an integral piece to Florida’s stellar offense last year despite being the third-best ball-catcher on the field behind Kyle Pitts and Kadarius Toney.

Many thought that Grimes would play his senior season and become the number one target in Florida’s offense in 2021, but he decided to opt-in for the 2021 NFL Draft instead.

Grimes is an unbelievable athlete which will interest many teams and the Jets should be one of those suitors.

His 2020 stats aren’t mind-blowing, but they’re very consistent. Grimes had 38 catches for 589 yards and scored nine touchdowns. You have to remember that Toney and Pitts were getting the majority of targets, so Grimes’ production is still very good.

If he was the number-one wide receiver in a different program, we could be looking at Grimes as a second-round pick, instead of a fifth or sixth-round selection, as projected.

Standing tall at 6-foot-4, 220 pounds, it’s hard to believe that Grimes can move so fast for his size.

He’s a threat downfield base on his size, but is also a great red-zone target as he has terrific hands in coverage and is someone who defenders have a hard time taking the ball from.
