The NY Jets are set to travel west to take on the red-hot Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
The NY Jets are at it again. With another trip to the west coast this week, New York will look yet again to secure a win for the first time, or loss, away from MetLife Stadium.
The team is heading into this matchup relatively healthy, not too sure if that seriously plays a role in the outcome of this one, though.
The Rams are set to deploy quarterback Jared Goff to lay the lumber on a young Jets secondary. With the compliments of wide receivers Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp, the Jets will more than likely have their hands full with these versatile weapons lined up across the line of scrimmage.
One player on the Los Angeles Rams’ defense that will certainly cause plenty of havoc, defensive tackle Aaron Donald. The former Defensive Player of the Year is likely licking his chops at the idea of going up against the interior offensive line of the Jets.
Donald, who already has totaled 12.5 sacks on the season, will look to add to that over the course of Sunday’s game.
Cornerback Jalen Ramsey will also be eyeing the opportunity to make a few splash plays while an inconsistent Sam Darnold takes the field in his 36th game with the Jets. Darnold, who has been at the forefront of many mistakes during the season, will have to be aware of a hungry Ramsey.
The NY Jets are pretty healthy heading into Week 15
The Jets are set to get back their full starting receiving core this Sunday against Los Angeles. Wide receiver Denzel Mims, who missed last Sunday’s outing versus Seattle with a family emergency, practiced fully this week and will return versus the Rams.
Breshad Perriman and Jamison Crowder will also continue their respective seasons against a Rams defense that will likely give this offense fits.
The listed injury report for the Jets this week is as follows, wide receiver Jamison Crowder, who injured his calf in practice last week, appeared in the game against Seattle and returned to practice in a limited capacity this week.
He’s questionable for Sunday, though, expect him to play. An update on outside linebacker Jordan Jenkins, he’s set to receive surgery on a torn labrum and dislocated shoulder in which he injured back in Week 3 of this season.
Jenkins played through it, showcasing his toughness. Jenkins is set to be a free agent after the season concludes. Running back La’Mical Perine, who was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury, is slated to return next week.
He still needs to practice in a full capacity before returning to the back-field. Kicker Sam Ficken, who was also placed on IR with a groin injury, is progressing well. Adam Gase says, if all goes well, he’ll start in Sunday’s tilt.
Injuries won’t play a role in the team’s success this week, as most players are working their way back to full health. Still, a loss will be the likely scenario until the Jets rid themselves of the head coach.
Score Prediction: Rams 31, NY Jets 11
