Former New York Jets DL Leonard Williams admitted that he’s been sharing inside info with the NY Giants. Here’s what he had to say on Thursday.

On Sunday the New York Jets and the New York Giants will battle for supremacy in the quadrennial matchup.

These two squads play once every four years, per the NFL scheduling method. This year both teams are terrible, Jets (1-7), Giants (2-7), but this year has an extra wrinkle.

Earlier this season the Jets and Giants consummated a trade for the first time in history. Leonard Williams was sent to the Giants in exchange for a handful of future draft picks.

This means Sunday will present a revenge angle for Williams vs his former team.

On Thursday he was speaking with Ralph Vacchiano of SNY and intimated that he’s been sharing intel on his former team to his new team:

“I don’t want to tell you, no offense and I don’t want to tell the public. There’s definitely been some talk around the locker room. I’ve been giving the offensive guys some info and I’ve given the defensive line some info about the offensive line. Obviously we’re still watching film and preparing normally like any given week.”

Inside info on the Jets offensive line? Saying things like what they stink? We already knew that Leonard!

The Jets have allowed 37 sacks this season, second-worst in the league behind the Tennessee Titans who have allowed 38 sacks on the year. Not sure any additional intel is necessary.

While on the other side of the ball any ‘trade secrets’ on the defense probably aren’t good anymore. The team is banged up beyond belief with the linebacking core annihilated, the corners are dismantled, and the defensive line is on life support.
