The New York Jets will have a new-look defense in 2019, and theyāve got a pair of dynamic leaders in Jamal Adams and C.J. Mosley to take them to the next level.
One of the best defensive tandems in the NFL, Adams and Mosley are ready to take the Jets defense to the next level under a new coaching staff.
Making the switch to a new scheme always comes with a certain level of difficulty, but Adams and his crew appear to be up to the challenge.
One thing that hasnāt changed? Adams and the Jets defense are all about ātalking their noiseā when it comes to bringing swagger and confidence to the field (via team reporter Ethan Greenberg):
? "Aggressive."?ļø "Talk our noise."? "Fly around the ball."

Itās a lot. Weāre putting in [good work], new coaching staff obviously. Everybody is picking it up, everybodyās doing a phenomenal job. Weāre flying around and competing.
We talk our noise, I know thatās one thing. We fly around the ball. I know that weāre going to compete every down, every play and thatās what itās about.
One of the biggest reasons the Jets defense could see marked improvement this season? The addition of free agent linebacker C.J. Mosley, who made four Pro Bowls in five seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.
Mosley is looking forward to sharing the field with another leader, even if their styles differ:
Heās very competitive and very vocal. Iām not going to take anything away from anybody thatās been here or the type of style they lead with because Iām more of a lead by example guy. So anytime he wants to talk or anybody wants to talk, Iām all for it. If I think I need to say something or give a little pep talk, then Iāll just say it. As long as we all are communicating with each other, the top dogs are on the same page, then weāre all good.
This offseason has been tumultuous at times for the Jets, but thereās still plenty to be excited about as the Adam Gase era gets underway. Adams and Mosley are two of the biggest reasons why Jets fans should be optimistic about their chances of turning the tide in 2019.
