Ahead of his enshrinement, former New York Jets center Kevin Mawae is sending more than 200 pieces of his historic career to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Mawae was a fixture in the Jets’ offensive line for nearly a decade. While he also spent four years each with the Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans on either end of his career, the bulk of his prime was spent with the Jets. He anchored New York’s front line for eight seasons, making 118 starts.

He’ll take his place among the legends of professional football on August 3rd, but before he does, he’s sending quite the care package to Canton:

Our collection of items represents a lifetime of football and a love of the game that means so much to our family. From the first season of flag football at 8 years old to the end of my NFL career, this collection is a chance for me to share my journey and the privilege to be in the Hall of Fame.

Mawae’s long list of memorable items includes game-worn memorabilia from his impressive football career (both in the professional ranks in college at LSU), as well as personal mementos ranging from a poem that hung in his locker, to a cross-shaped piece of wreckage from the World Trade Center following the attacks on September 11th, 2001.

Mawae will become the 15th member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame to have played at least part of his career for the Jets, joining other legends like Joe Namath, Don Maynard and Curtis Martin.
