Here’s our 2019 NFL Draft profile for North Carolina State center Garrett Bradbury, breaking down his strengths, weaknesses, and New York Jets prediction.

The New York Jets addressed their offensive line during free agency in March, trading a fifth-round pick for Oakland Raiders guard Kelechi Osemele. While Osemele is a good addition to the offensive line, that unit still needs some work. The 2019 NFL Draft is loaded with offensive line talent who could help protect franchise quarterbacks for the next decade. The center position is an area that the Jets could look to improve during the draft.

Enter North Carolina State center Garrett Bradbury who is regarded as the top center prospect by several draft analysts. Below are Bradbury’s strengths, weaknesses, and a prediction on what the Jets could do if they are in the position to draft Bradbury.

Strengths

Bradbury is considered the top center prospect by several analysts like I mentioned above because he has all the traits teams look for at the position. Body control, core strength, and intelligence are his three best traits. Bradbury’s durability is also outstanding; he played all 13 games in 2016-2018. In his senior season, he won the Rimington Trophy as the nation’s top center and received first-team All-ACC and Associated Press All-American honors.

At North Carolina State’s Pro Day back in March, Bradbury solidified his status as the top center prospect in the draft. Here is what NFL Network Analyst Daniel Jeremiah had to say in his “glowing” review on Bradbury:

NC State center Garrett Bradbury checked the final box today: Excellent fall season ✔️Consistent Sr Bowl ✔️Test well at Combine ✔️Interview well ✔️Outstanding Pro Day ✔️

He’ll be a 10 year starter at center. Plug and play dude.

Weaknesses

When you look at Bradbury’s tape and hear what other analysts have to say about Bradbury, there is not much that he does do wrong. However, there may be a few things you could nitpick about the Wolfpack Alum. He is smaller than average size NFL centers and his technique (hand placement) could use some very fine tuning. As you can see, there isn’t much not to like about Bradbury.

New York Jets Prediction

The only scenario where the Jets could land Bradbury is if they trade down from 3 to the middle of the first round. Bradbury has been projected to go within this range so maybe he could be there for the Jets . Anyways, Bradbury has the skills to anchor the Jets offensive line for the next decade if he is the pick. Could Bradbury be Nick Mangold 2.0 for the Jets?
