Heading into fantasy football Week 13, it’d be a smart decision for fantasy football owners to sit New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson as he takes on the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.

25-year-old New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson had a career year in 2017, bringing in 63 receptions for 941 yards and seven touchdowns. He averaged 14.9 yards per catch, 58.8 yards per game, and had 17 catches that resulted in gains of 20 or more yards.

Unfortunately, however, the Temple alum hasn’t seen that same success this year, as he’s brought in just 23 receptions for 368 yards and three touchdowns in nine games. Of course, much has changed regarding the Jets this year and some have argued that Anderson hasn’t performed nearly as bad as his numbers suggest. The reality of the situation is that he isn’t producing at a high level, which matters most when it comes to fantasy football.

In regards to the Tennessee Titans, who currently sit at 5-6, the team has quite a strong pass defense and given the lack of success the Jets offense has seen this year, it’s expected that the Titans will be able to control much of the action this weekend.

Even if the Jets do find a way to move the ball through the air, Anderson hasn’t been targeted as much as one would expect this season, which has also lead to his lack of success.

The Jets offense is abysmal as it’s likely Anderson won’t do much of anything against the Titans. Fantasy owners would be wise to sit him and not even think twice about it.

It’s also important to note that Anderson has been dealing with an ankle injury throughout the 2018 season and he even missed a day of practice just this week. It’s expected that he’ll play on Sunday, but given that news, his lack of production, and the matchup against the Titans, it’d be smart look elsewhere in Week 13 fantasy action.
