Heading into Week 12 fantasy football, it’s best to sit New York Jets quarterback Josh McCown against the New England Patriots.
Despite coming off a bye week, no major changes have been made by the New York Jets. Offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates and head coach Todd Bowles are still in position, which means another loss is likely coming at the hands of the New England Patriots. The Jets are so bad, it’s hard to trust any of them when it comes to fantasy football.
At this point in time, rookie quarterback Sam Darnold did not participate in team practices so far this week as his status to start on Sunday is uncertain. It’s likely the Jets won’t rush Darnold’s return under center due to a foot injury he suffered a few weeks ago.
Due to this, expect to see veteran quarterback Josh McCown get the nod again to start. In Week 10 against the Buffalo Bills, McCown had an abysmal game against one of the worst teams in the NFL.

In that game, McCown totaled 135 passing yards, 17/34 in attempts/completions, two interceptions, and failed to score a single touchdown. If that was against the Bills, one can only imagine what awaits when McCown faces the Patriots.
Fantasy football owners would be wise to sit McCown this week as this is another lost season for the Jets. Due to a lot of injuries on the offensive side of the ball at wide receiver and even on the offensive line, this game has disaster written all over it.
The Jets are currently on a four-game losing streak as it’s looking like it’ll be five straight losses on Sunday as they have no hope in beating the Patriots. As far as McCown’s fantasy value is concerned, there is no reason to start him in any way, shape, or form.
