Heading into Week 10 fantasy football, it’s best to sit New York Jets quarterback Josh McCown as the team is set to face the Buffalo Bills
It’s Week 10 of the regular season and the New York Jets, at 3-6, are already out of the playoff picture. It would take a miracle for them to go on a winning streak and surprise the football world to make it to the postseason but when it comes to fantasy football, none of their players are worth starting in any way, shape, or form.
Unfortunately for the Jets, they’ll be without rookie quarterback Sam Darnold this week as he’s listed as “doubtful” due to a foot injury. Veteran quarterback Josh McCown will be under center but make no mistake about it, it’s a no-brainer decision to sit him this week.
McCown isn’t going to come in and magically jumpstart the abysmal offense of the Jets after riding the bench for the majority of the regular season. Yes, he’s a game manager and should do a decent job on executing plays, but as far as his fantasy football value is concerned, it’s not worth risking a slot on McCown.

With wide receiver Robby Anderson also listed as “doubtful” and the overall offense lacking consistent weapons, there is a very strong possibility they will lose to the Buffalo Bills. Yes, the same Bills team that is 2-7, at the bottom of the AFC East, and potentially a worse team than the Jets.
This game will turn into another snoozefest, just like last week was for the Jets against the Miami Dolphins. Expect another low-scoring affair with the Jets offense incapable of getting anything done.
It’s best to sit McCown this week and don’t even think twice about it. This will likely be his last season with the Jets as the franchise has made it clear once Darnold is healthy, he will return to the starting lineup.
For now, McCown is holding down the fort until the rookie comes back within the next week or two and will not do much of anything when it comes to his fantasy football contributions in Week 10.
