Heading into Week 7 fantasy football, New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold should have another solid game against the Minnesota Vikings.

So far this season, New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold has been relevant when it comes to his fantasy football value. His calm, cool, and collective style of play has quietly put him from not worth starting weekly to putting him into lineups without any second guesses.

Last week against the Indianapolis Colts, Darnold once again has a solid day at the office. He totaled 280 passing yards, 24 completions, two touchdowns, and one interception. Darnold had an 80 percent completion percentage in that Week 6 win as he’s finally settling into being a starting quarterback in the NFL.

In Week 7 action, Darnold and the Jets welcome the Minnesota Vikings for their third straight home game in MetLife Stadium. The Jets have bounced back nicely winning their last two home games which put them at .500 for the first time this season.

Fantasy football owners should start Darnold as the Vikings defense has been a massive letdown so far this season. Darnold has progressed well and will only continue to get better over time. Ideally, Darnold is a QB2 at this point in time.

If other receiving options step up and provide consistent play, it will only elevate Darnold’s fantasy value to the point where he could reach QB1 levels.

The Jets offense is now starting to form an identity with Jermaine Kearse and Robby Anderson finally getting into the mix.  Of course, the Jets are already hurting at wide receiver with Quincy Enunwa out for this week’s game but it shouldn’t phase Darnold one bit at all since he’ll be ready to continue producing results.

For now, start Darnold as he should provide another week of strong numbers, especially with how incredibly accurate he’s been as of late. This could potentially be a game in which he delivers his finest performance yet thanks to everything he brings to the table.
