Heading into Week 6 action, the New York Jets welcome the Indianapolis Colts to MetLife Stadium with hopes of making it two straight wins at home.

For those of you attending today’s game at MetLife Stadium, you are in for a treat! Not only for the football action that awaits but for the festivities revolving the New York Jets celebrating the 50th anniversary of their Super Bowl III championship team.

Legends will be on hand throughout pre-game and halftime ceremonies and the Jets will also be wearing the same uniforms worn during that magical 1968-1969 NFL season in which the team won it all. Fast forward to the present-day Jets, they’re a team that has a shot to hit .500 for the first time this season with a win over the Indianapolis Colts.

The Jets are coming off a huge win last week in which they embarrassed the Denver Broncos with the final score being 34-16. Not only did the Jets play one of their most complete games of the year, but that win undoubtedly helped boost the overall confidence in a locker room still trying to find its identity.

More from The Jet Press

The Colts, a team that is deceptively 1-4, have been in every game they’ve played in this season. Led by the returning Andrew Luck, this could very well be a shootout with both teams hurting in their respective secondaries. Expect to see both teams airing it out in this one.
