Broncos vs. Jets: Week 5 betting odds
Heading into Week 5, the New York Jets are early betting favorites over the Denver Broncos by a very small margin.
The New York Jets are headed home for their Week 5 matchup against the Denver Broncos. The early betting odds are in their favor even though it’s by a very small margin. Factors that led to this are likely due to playing in front of Jets fans, the Broncos coming off a short week after their Monday Night Football loss, and the fact that Gang Green needs a win bad.
As per Odds Shark, the Jets have a predicted score of 20.8 over the Broncos of 19.3. They predict the Jets will win, cover the spread, and the total will go under. Losing three straight games will likely prove to be the difference maker in this Week 5 matchup as the Jets can’t make it four straight games, especially in front of the home crowd.
Ideally, expect to see offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates open things up on offense. His playcalling has been atrocious over the past few weeks that has turned the Jets offense into a predictable one.

The truth of the matter is, the Jets need to shake things up on offense and likely will against the Broncos. They need to incorporate Robby Anderson more in the game plan and also commit to the ground game.
Bates knows what both Isaiah Crowell and Bilal Powell are capable of as it’s time he established the run and let it set the tone of this upcoming game. If the Jets can win the time of possession battle by pounding the rock, they should prove to make these betting odds accurate and leave victorious.
The Jets have a lot to play for and have a shot at beating the Broncos who also have yet to create their identity this season. It’s a battle for a win but more importantly for the Jets, doing whatever it takes to end their current three-game losing streak.
