Heading into Week 4 fantasy football, it’s best to sit New York Jets wide receiver Jermaine Kearse against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

As the New York Jets prepare for a tough Jacksonville Jaguars team, all eyes will be on if they can bounce back from their epic Week 3 loss to the Cleveland Browns. They’ve already moved on but still have a lot of issues when it comes to their offense. Should fantasy football owners trust wide receiver Jermaine Kearse to get the job done in Week 4 action?

In the grand scheme of things, no. Kearse missed Week 1’s win over the Detroit Lions due to an abdomen injury. He didn’t do much of anything in Weeks 2 or 3 as he’s likely still dealing with this injury and slowly getting phased back into the Jets offense.

Ideally, he’s not worth starting in any way, shape, or form when it comes to fantasy football lineups. Owners are best advised to either drop him completely or stash him just in case he starts to heat up as the season progresses.

More from The Jet Press

So far this season, Kearse has only totaled 34 receiving yards, four receptions, and has yet to score a touchdown. The Jets will likely depend on their ground game with hopes of beating the Jaguars on the road, which means even more limited reps for Kearse.

Quarterback Sam Darnold has already established Quincy Enunwa as his favorite wide receiver on offense and will likely keep that rhythm going. Kearse will likely be used in a relief role or on certain offensive plays as a decoy which means not a whole lot of fantasy points coming your way.

Sit Kearse and don’t even think twice about it as it might take some time before he’s relevant in fantasy football again. Find another receiving option if you need it that has a more favorable matchup. The Jaguars have one of the best defenses in the NFL and will likely keep the Jets locked down in almost every aspect of this game.
