Heading into their Week 3 Thursday Night Football matchup, the latest betting odds have the Cleveland Browns as early favorites over the New York Jets.

Uh-Oh. At this point in time, the early betting odds are out for tonight’s Thursday Night Football game between the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns. As per Odds Shark, the Browns are three-point favorites to beat the Jets.

In regards to the final predicted score, Odds Shark has the Browns at 23.9 over the Jets at 14.1. The likely reason is due to the fact that the Browns are not only playing in front of their home crowd in FirstEnergy Stadium but were so close in being 2-0 to start the season strong.

From a missed field goal in overtime to a complete meltdown when it mattered most, the Browns got close but didn’t do enough to finally end their losing streak that has lasted for two years now. Ideally, this has trap game written all over it for the Jets who could very well make the NFL history books for all the wrong reasons if they don’t take the Browns seriously.

The early betting odds likely also factored the Jets coming back down to reality. After their Week 1 rout of the Detroit Lions, many football fans and analysts started to jump on a huge hype train even though it was just one game. The Miami Dolphins put the brakes on such a hype train by putting the Jets back in their place in an overall sloppy game.

History also says that the last four straight games between the Jets and Browns, Gang Green has won all four matchups. The Browns just need to fix some of the little things that have cost them a win as they have what it takes to stun the Jets to bring an epic win right in the Dawg Pound on national primetime television.

No matter what transpires tonight, the Browns aren’t going down without a fight. Expect to see them play fast, aggressive, and do everything in their power to finally taste victory and give a historic win in front of their dedicated fans. The Jets can’t sleep on the Browns since one better believe, they’ve been working hard all year long to finally get their first win in the books in 2018. It might very well come at the expense of the Jets if they aren’t too careful.
