Heading into Week 3 fantasy football, New York Jets wide receiver Quincy Enunwa is worth starting against the Cleveland Browns defense.
It’s no secret that there is one clear-cut wide receiver that New York Jets rookie quarterback Sam Darnold enjoys throwing to the most. No, it’s not wide receiver Robby Anderson. It’s not even Terrelle Pryor. Just two weeks into the regular season, Darnold has made wide receiver Quincy Enunwa his preferred target when passing. Should fantasy football owners consider starting Enunwa in Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns to see if the trend continues?
In the grand scheme of things, yes. Not only does Enunwa lead all Jets receivers in completions (13) but receiving yards as well (155). Darnold has targeted Enunwa the most with 21 targets, which is clearly showing the trust factor is there to get the rhythm going on offense.
Fantasy football owners would be wise to start Enunwa this week as one better believe this pattern will continue in the Jets vs. Browns Week 3 Thursday Night Football matchup. Since the Browns are a hungry team that hasn’t won a regular season football game in about two years, offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates knows that this game will need two big things to happen in order to win.

First is a heavy dose and commitment to the Jets ground game and a whole lot of Enunwa. Due to his ability to be an ideal mismatch when facing opposing defensive backs and linebackers, Enunwa should have another big day at the office.
Start Enunwa as he will likely put up another solid game that should earn a good amount of fantasy football points. Ideally, Enunwa is a WR2 or a FLEX option in this Week 3 primetime matchup.
As the season progresses, he might very well work his way into a top WR1 role, depending, of course, on how well Darnold improves with his continued development. Expect to see Enunwa once again get a lot of passes thrown his way and score at least a touchdown as he’s turning into the Jets top offensive weapon.
