Heading into Week 3 fantasy football, New York Jets wide receiver Terrelle Pryor is worth starting as a FLEX option against the Cleveland Browns.

It’s no secret that rookie quarterback Sam Darnold is a player on the rise and already has a good relationship with wide receiver Quincy Enunwa. Not only is Enunwa his preferred and most thrown to receiving target, but it’s expected to continue as the season progresses. Where does this put wide receiver Terrelle Pryor in regards to his fantasy football value in Week 3?

In the grand scheme of things, Pryor is mostly being used as a red zone target and on plays designed to take advantage of his size and speed. Ideally, Pryor might not get a lot of targets his way but will likely see the majority of his opportunities come in the red zone.

Fantasy football owners should consider using Pryor in Week 3 action in the FLEX position. Pryor will be facing an old team of his in the Cleveland Browns tonight on Thursday Night Football and will likely want to put on a better performance than what he did last week.

More from The Jet Press

In a Week 2 loss to the Miami Dolphins, Pryor totaled 84 receiving yards on four receptions and failed to score a touchdown. Considering that he’s yet to score a touchdown with the Jets bodes well for him to do so tonight in primetime action.

Aside from at least scoring a touchdown or two tonight, Pryor isn’t worth a WR2 slot just yet. Perhaps as the season continues that might be a possibility but for now, that’s the only position he warrants in a starting fantasy football lineup.

The Jets took a risk on Pryor this offseason with the hope that he develops into a difference-maker every time the football is in his hands. With Darnold still developing in his rookie season, another impactful veteran wide receiver like Pryor was worth bringing in thanks to everything he brings to the table. If he gets hot during the season, it would undoubtedly push the envelope for everyone around him, including Darnold for consistent results.

Overall, expect a solid game tonight between the Jets and Browns who are similar teams just looking to have an identity and run with it all season long. Your guess is as good as mine as to which team will leave victorious but expect to see Pryor have a good night tonight in front of a nationally televised audience.
