Heading into Week 3 fantasy football, New York Jets running back Isaiah Crowell is worth starting in a revenge game against the Cleveland Browns.

Oh yes fantasy football owners, this is a revenge game for New York Jets running back Isaiah Crowell. The New York Jets head to the Dawg Pound for a Thursday Night Football matchup against the Cleveland Browns in what could very well be a trap game.

Even if the Jets lose this game and become part of NFL history in being “that team” that sees defeat in the hands of the Browns, expect to see Crowell put on an absolute clinic. Offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates will likely want to go back to what worked in Week 1 and have a heavy commitment to the ground game.

Expect to see Crowell get the majority of these reps at running back since he’ll undoubtedly be playing with a chip on his shoulder. Such a chip, that it’s easy to see him have a huge game against his former team.

Crowell will likely end this Week 3 matchup with 100+ yards and a touchdown or two. Due to this highly favorable fantasy football matchup, Crowell is an RB2 this week and could also do well in the FLEX position. Since the Browns pass rush will be on point throughout this game, Bates will likely focus more on the run in this primetime matchup.

Start Crowell and don’t even think twice about it. In the grand scheme of things, he will likely be the top offensive performer for the Jets due to the healthy amount of reps he’ll see and especially in red zone formations.

The Jets know the Browns are a dangerous and young team anxiously working hard to get their first win in years. They have to win the time of possession battle in order to ensure the Browns don’t get the upper hand at any point in this matchup.

The Jets won’t risk anything by depending too much on the pass due to rookie quarterback Sam Darnold still progressing slowly but surely as the season continues. A strong ground game will make things easier for Darnold as Crowell will easily rise to the occasion and do his part to ensure the Jets leave this game victorious.
