Heading into Week 2 fantasy football, it’s best to start New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson against the Miami Dolphins.

Make no mistake about it, wide receiver Robby Anderson is easily the biggest weapon on the New York Jets offense. Don’t let last week fool you as Anderson will have an increased role to do what he does best as the season progresses. Heading into Week 2 fantasy football, should owners consider starting Anderson against the Miami Dolphins?

In the grand scheme of things, Anderson will more than likely have a bigger impact this time around compared to last week’s performance against the Detroit Lions. Anderson was only targeted once in Week 1 action but it was a big one as it was for his first touchdown of the season.

Fantasy football owners should start Anderson this week as he should undoubtedly see more passes coming his way as rookie quarterback Sam Darnold continues to settle in as a starter. Anderson brings a big vertical game to the Jets offense as offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates will continue to experiment with that aspect of the playbook.

Ideally, Anderson is expected to continue where he left off from with his breakout year last season. Mind you, that was accomplished with veteran quarterback Josh McCown as one can only imagine how much destruction he can cause with a young and better option in Darnold.

Start Anderson either as your WR2 or FLEX position this week as he should score a touchdown or two and potentially have more fantasy points with more passes coming his way. Last week, the Jets offense was surging thanks to wide receiver Quincy Enunwa but it’s expected that Anderson should have more reps in Week 2 to alleviate the double teams Enunwa will likely see from the Dolphins.

Overall, the Jets offense will continue to get better as the weeks go by thanks to Darnold’s impact in the game. The Jets will establish the run just like last week but once they get into a good rhythm on offense with the ground game, it will open up the passing game big time. All of which should potentially set Anderson up for a big fantasy day.
