Heading into Week 1, the New York Jets are set for their season opener on Monday Night Football against the Detroit Lions. Here is the final injury report for both teams as well as tonight’s weather for the game.
New York Jets football will finally be upon us all later on tonight on Monday Night Football. The Jets are on the road set to face the Detroit Lions in Ford Field. It will be the first Monday Night Football game of the season to start off a doubleheader event.
Coming off two straight 5-11 losing seasons isn’t easy for the Jets but they are slowly building a contender for the future. A future that has the potential to be a bright one thanks to the big announcement that the Jets will have rookie quarterback Sam Darnold starting the season under center.
Heading into this Week 1 matchup, the Jets will be without two key starting players. On offense, wide receiver Jermaine Kearse will likely miss this game and on defense, linebacker Josh Martin is officially ruled out.
