Jets 2018 Preseason Roster Cuts: Live Tracker

As the New York Jets ended their preseason with a 1-3 record, expect a plethora of preseason roster cuts as they trim down to their final 53. Stay up to date in this live tracker.

New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles has a lot of decisions to make between now and roster cut time. This year, NFL teams have until 4:00 p.m. Saturday, Sep. 1, 2018, to announce their final 53-man rosters.

Between now and then, expect to see a plethora of player cuts as the Jets do their very best to field a competitive roster to bounce back from two straight losing seasons. As cuts happen, please be very careful of any bogus news from unverified sources on the internet.

Jets are really at 68 (not 71) on roster, because of three suspensions. So 15 cuts coming Saturday. Maybe the NFL will get around to suspending Dylan Donahue for two DWI guilty pleas at some point. Then it'll be 14 cuts needed.

Surprised by how many people are surprised about the David Bass cut. Yes, he performed reasonably well last year (3.5 sacks). But he barely worked with the second-string defense in training camp. Luvu and Copeland passed him weeks ago.
