The latest Super Bowl LII betting odds has the Philadelphia Eagles favored over the New England Patriots.

As per our friends over at Sports Book Review, the latest Super Bowl LII betting odds are out as it’s a bit shocking, to say the least. For what seems like forever, the New England Patriots have always been the favored team heading into any matchup. That doesn’t seem to be the case this time around.

Of course, with this being the biggest matchup of them all, the Patriots are on the outside looking in based on the latest betting odds. As per SBR, the Eagles are currently +6 favorites over the reigning Super Bowl champions.

It’s easy to see why those betting odds are the way they are due to everything the Eagles bring to the table. On paper, they’re the better team in the grand scheme of things. Their defense is the best of the best that can effectively stop the run, do well against the pass, and consistently get to the quarterback.

Even though the Patriots have the legendary Tom Brady under center, that’s not going to be enough to stop that insanely great pass rush of the Eagles. All it takes is to get to Brady efficiently and it’ll shut down a huge chunk of the Patriots offense.

That, in essence, is the secret to beating the Patriots. Get him to make mistakes or simply, keep him off the football field. The Eagles have a potent rushing attack led by LeGarrette Blount who will undoubtedly put on a clinic against his old team.

These betting odds most likely stem from everyone knowing that the Eagles will more than likely bring the heat to Brady and do a great job at establishing the run. If the Eagles are able to commit to their ground game, win the time of possession battle, and manhandle Brady, they will leave Super Bowl LII victorious. These final bettings odd are what they are for these very reasons.
