The Philadelphia Eagles will prevail over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII and become champions for the first time in franchise history.

After starting quarterback Carson Wentz went down for the year, everyone wrote off the Philadelphia Eagles as if they were done. They have enjoyed this underdog mentality, and have proved everyone wrong thus far while playing some incredible football. This Sunday, in Super Bowl LII, they have a tough task in going up against the New England Patriots. This matchup is a David vs. Goliath kind of game that has plenty of storylines behind it.

The Eagles have played excellent team football on both sides with the offense and defense on a mission to be the best of the best. It all starts with Nick Foles who has been playing like a man who is possessed in proving doubters wrong. Fans forget he has starting experience as he was the starting quarterback before Wentz arrived. He will start this Sunday as the Patriots defense isn’t as tough as the opponents they have faced all season including the NFL Playoffs.

The offense has multiple weapons that any opponent will struggle to handle because of how fast and explosive they are. Top receiving targets Zach Ertz, Alshon Jeffery, and Nelson Agholor have been major problems for every team this season. The running game for the Eagles is a major problem for any rush defense to stop with Jay Ajayi, LeGarrette Blount, and Corey Clement being a true three-headed beast.

More from Jets News

The Eagles have as many if not more weapons on offense than the Patriots. They play fast, smart, and execute well which will give the Patriots defense plenty of problems. Even the Eagles defense is extremely good and efficient.

The Eagles defense has been a headache for every opponent and looks to continue their dominance against Tom Brady and the Patriots defense. It will be a tough task but they will easily handle it. The Eagles have an excellent pass rush and should be able to make their presence known early and often against Brady in the big game.

Make no mistake about it, the Eagles are playing with purpose, determination, and are ready to beat the Evil Empire once and for all. As fans of the New York Jets, this would be a great way to end the 2017 season with the Patriots getting embarrassed in the big game.
