Los Angeles Chargers vs. New York Jets: Preview, TV Coverage and Streams
Heading into Week 16, the New York Jets have their final home game of the season today against the Los Angeles Chargers. Here’s a preview, how to watch on TV, and of course, live streaming of today’s game.
For those of you that celebrate Christmas, what a gift it would be for fans of the New York Jets to get a big win today against the Los Angeles Chargers, eh? Sure, the Jets are mathematically eliminated from making the NFL Playoffs but if they can beat the Chargers, it would make it even harder for them to make it since they’re still in the AFC Wild Card chase. Either way, with just today’s game and one more to go before season’s end, the Jets have a lot of work ahead of them to beat a Chargers team that has proven to be proficient when need be.
The Jets face a team that features an offense that can score at will with Philip Rivers always capable of putting on a clinic and a defense led by a premier defensive end in Joey Bosa. Besides that, the Jets need to change things up when it comes to their offensive gameplan and put quarterback Bryce Petty in a position to thrive. Hopefully, they establish the ground game by feeding the rock to Bilal Powell so Petty doesn’t have to put the entire game on his shoulders.
Above all else, the pass rush of the Jets must step up if they’re to pressure Rivers into making mistakes. If they can get to him or at the very least, pressure him into forcing throws, it could be the difference-maker in this Week 16 matchup. Hopefully, the crowd gets into it and makes their presence felt in this season finale at MetLife Stadium.
