Fantasy Football Start ‘Em or Sit ‘Em Week 16: WR Robby Anderson
Heading into Week 16 fantasy football, it’s best to sit wide receiver Robby Anderson of the New York Jets due to the sudden quarterback change that affects his ability to get the job done.
Before quarterback Josh McCown broke his hand a few weeks ago, wide receiver Robby Anderson was a viable fantasy football option. Considering that he so far this season has seven touchdowns and close to 900 receiving yards, Anderson has been one of the brighter spots on a rebuilding season that has produced just five wins at this point in time.
Unfortunately for Anderson, it’s not easy to go from a veteran quarterback to one that still has a lot of work cut out for him in order to be a quality starter in the NFL. Quarterback Bryce Petty made his first start of the season last week and well, it undoubtedly affected Anderson in a bad way.
Petty has some major accuracy issues and well, needs to work on the timing of his passes with his receiving targets. Last week, Anderson only totaled 40 receiving yards on five completions and failed to score a touchdown. Anderson has now gone three straight weeks without a touchdown and has fizzled out, especially now with a new quarterback that has issues hitting him in stride to do what he does best.

The Jets are playing their final home game of the season and well, the Los Angeles Chargers will absolutely bring it to Petty. Defensive end Joey Bosa is one of the best at his position in the NFL and will be coming after him like there is no tomorrow.
START OR SIT?: Fantasy Pros Start or Sit Assistant Tool
Bosa truly is a force to reckon with and with how inconsistent and well, bad the Jets offensive line has been as of late, doesn’t bode well for Petty or Anderson to have a good game on Sunday.
It’s best to sit Anderson this week and look elsewhere for another viable option that’s entering a favorable matchup. It’s hard to even believe the Jets will even beat the Chargers in front of their home crowd since this game could have disaster written all over it as Anderson will more than likely not do much of anything this Sunday.
