Fantasy Football Start ‘Em or Sit ‘Em Week 15: RB Matt Forte

Heading into Week 15 fantasy football, make sure to sit running back Matt Forte of the New York Jets due to a nagging injury and an unfavorable situation.
Running back Matt Forte of the New York Jets continues to do his best to suit up and be there for his team but unfortunately, the writing is on the wall. Due to a nagging knee injury that’s limited him in practice and in game time, has caused him to be an unreliable option in fantasy football.
Due to this, not only did Forte have limited reps in practice this week, but his status for Sunday’s game, as per the Media Relations Department of the Jets, is questionable. Considering that this is no time to make any bold risks when it comes to setting up final rosters since it’s fantasy playoff time, it’s best to not waste a starting spot on Forte.
In the grand scheme of things, bench Forte this week since he hasn’t done much of anything on offense for the past three weeks. He had a monster game in Week 9 against the Buffalo Bills but this was before his severe knee injury.

As always in fantasy football, never start a running back that is dealing with injuries to their legs in any way, shape, or form. They won’t be playing at 100 percent and will more often than not, won’t be worth any decent amount of fantasy points.
While it’s expected Forte will play in some capacity against the Saints on Sunday, the Jets will more than likely turn to running back Bilal Powell to once again start and lead the way. Rookie running back Elijah McGuire is also dealing with an ankle injury so again, expect to see Powell receiving the majority of reps at the position.
START OR SIT?: Fantasy Pros Start or Sit Assistant Tool
Sit Forte this week and look elsewhere if you’re in need of a running back to start or a viable player for the FLEX position. Don’t expect Forte to do much of anything since last week against the Denver Broncos, he only totaled 13 rushing yards and hasn’t scored a touchdown in three straight games.
