Heading into Week 15 fantasy football, owners would be wise to not even dare consider starting quarterback Bryce Petty of the New York Jets against the New Orleans Saints defense.

If you’ve made it this far in the fantasy football season with a winning record, congrats, as it’s easier said than done to make it to the playoffs. Now, this isn’t the time to take any huge risks as many need to stick with what has worked and again, don’t make any bold moves or crazy predictions. Such is the case for anyone who thinks quarterback Bryce Petty of the New York Jets will have a huge game in Week 15 on the road against the New Orleans Saints.

In the grand scheme of things, Petty already has the odds stacked against him. The Saints have a tough defense and due to a broken hand injury to veteran quarterback Josh McCown, Petty gets the nod to start this week for the Jets.

With a terrible offensive line in front of him to the lackluster and inconsistent weapons on offense, it’s best to sit him this week. If there is anything to know about the defense of the Saints is that they’re very blitz-happy as one better believe they’ll be going after Petty right from the start of this Week 15 matchup.

Petty hasn’t proven himself by any stretch of the imagination to be a decent quarterback, let alone one worth starting in fantasy football. It’s best to not even dare, even for a single second, start Petty this week since any other viable quarterback would put up better numbers.

Things could and probably will get very ugly from the start on Sunday for Petty who might not be anywhere near ready to run the first-team offense efficiently. Due to these circumstances, Petty is easily a safe-sit in Week 15 and especially since these are now fantasy playoff games where every single move counts.
