Heading into Week 14 fantasy football action, running back Matt Forte of the New York Jets is worth benching against the Denver Broncos.

Last week, running back Matt Forte of the New York Jets was listed as questionable to play against the Kansas City Chiefs. Even though he suited up, he played a limited role but was still able to have some fantasy football relevance.

Against the Chiefs, Forte totaled just 58 rushing yards on 15 attempts. He did score a touchdown as a receiving option but again, it wasn’t enough to still warrant him being a starting option on a fantasy team.

This week, Forte hits the road as the Jets have a matchup against the struggling Denver Broncos. Keep in mind that Forte is still dealing with the same lingering knee injury and as always when it comes to fantasy football, owners must be careful about starting a running back in their final lineup who is dealing with such an issue.

In the grand scheme of things, it’s best to sit Forte this week and don’t let last week fool you. Yeah, he might have scored a touchdown but at the end of the day, can’t be trusted to get the job done since fellow running backs Bilal Powell and Elijah McGuire will see more playing time just like last week.

Unfortunately for Forte, his time is coming to an end both on the Jets and as a viable fantasy option. With the fantasy playoffs on the horizon, Forte isn’t a popular option by any stretch of the imagination due to his inability to be consistent or a difference-maker on offense for the Jets.

Sit him and don’t even think twice about it as he will more than likely see a few reps at running back once again. He’s just not going to get fantasy owners many points in his Week 14 matchup against the Broncos.
