Heading into Week 14 fantasy football, running back Bilal Powell of the New York Jets is easily worth starting against the defense of the Denver Broncos.

Last week, running back Bilal Powell of the New York Jets finally ended his touchdown drought. Against the Kansas City Chiefs, Powell totaled 48 rushing yards on 18 attempts and scored a touchdown on the ground, his first in the past six weeks. Should fantasy football owners trust Powell to get the job done in Week 14 against the Denver Broncos?

In the grand scheme of things, Powell should continue having an impact on offense for the Jets considering how much the Broncos defense tends to struggle against the run. Since starting running back Matt Forte is still dealing with a nagging knee injury, it’s expected he will see limited action if he even plays at all.

At this point in time, the Media Relations Department of the Jets has confirmed that Forte is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Broncos. Due to this, expect to see Powell and even rookie running back Elijah McGuire get the majority of reps at the position.

It’s best to start Powell this week as he’s easily a solid RB2 or even a FLEX option in Week 14. He should be able to have a solid game and hopefully score a touchdown or two. Fantasy football owners can rest assured that Powell will be in a position to do some serious damage from the backfield.

Also, keep in mind that Powell doubles up as a receiving option since offensive coordinator John Morton will undoubtedly spread the ball around through various receiving options. Depending on how the defense of the Broncos defends against the receiving options on the Jets, could mean if Josh McCown is going through his check-downs, might be another opportunity to get Powell involved in that aspect.

Overall, start Powell this week and enjoy everything he brings to the table. He should have another strong game for the Jets and hopefully, be one of the many reasons why they leave this game victorious.
