Heading into Week 14 fantasy football, for those owners that have quarterback Josh McCown of the New York Jets, he’s easily a safe-start against the Denver Broncos.

If at the start of the fantasy football season anyone said Josh McCown would be among the top 10 options worth starting, they would have gotten laughed at. McCown has been a fantasy stud for the majority of the season and continues doing well as the starting quarterback of the New York Jets.

This week, McCown is set to face the Denver Broncos on the road to continue playing solid and well, smart football from under center. For fantasy football owners debating whether or not he’s worth starting on Sunday, it’s a no-brainer.

Start McCown and don’t even think twice about it. Not only has he been overachieving all season long, but he’s turning into a hybrid threat. Oh yes, you read that right, McCown is showing he still has some gas left in the tank when he runs out of the pocket and gets a first down or as of late, a touchdown.

More from The Jet Press

Last week against the Kansas City Chiefs, McCown threw a touchdown and scored two of them on the ground. Clearly, McCown is playing some of the best football of his career as it’s inspiring, to say the least.

Considering how bad the defense of the Broncos has been as of late, expect to see McCown continue his momentum and post another solid game. Even though the Jets offensive line will have their hands full with Von Miller, expect to see them have another strong offensive game plan to earn their second straight win. If the offensive line can continue playing consistently, they should be able to set the tone early and often in this matchup.

Overall, McCown is on fire when it comes to his fantasy football value and can continue to be trusted to get the job done. He’s on his way to having the best season of his entire career with the Jets and for good reason, he’s been extremely good as a game manager and leader.
