Heading into Week 13 fantasy football, quarterback Josh McCown of the New York Jets has another home game against a slumping Kansas City Chiefs team. Start him this week since he continues to exceed expectations.
Despite their 4-7 record, the New York Jets are a competitive team and have lost a handful of games due to fourth-quarter meltdowns when they actually had a lead. Quarterback Josh McCown, on the other hand, has continued to exceed expectations to the point where he’s relevant not only for the Jets but as a decent QB2 in fantasy football.
This week, McCown has another home game in MetLife Stadium against the visiting Kansas City Chiefs who have lost their last three games and are 6-5 at this point in time. In the grand scheme of things, McCown continues to not only score a good amount of touchdowns on a consistent basis but is also coming off one of his best games of the year.
In last week’s loss to the Carolina Panthers, McCown totaled 307 passing yards, 19 completions, and three touchdowns. That’s right ladies and gentlemen, McCown did well when it came to his fantasy football contributions that anyone that started him earned a good amount of points.

Considering that the Jets are in yet another “must-win” situation, expect to see him once again air it out and hopefully, end their current two-game losing streak. The Chiefs defensive secondary continues to be inconsistent and despite the return of Darrelle Revis, it won’t make much of a difference since he’s been out of football for almost an entire year.

Start McCown and enjoy everything he brings to the table. Yeah, he’s a journeyman quarterback and could very well be playing in his last season as a starter but continues to put the Jets in a position to win football games. His fantasy football value has surprisingly been good all season long and will continue on Sunday against the Chiefs.
