FanSided’s Fandom 250 is officially out to vote on and 16 NFL teams made the cut. Unfortunately, the New York Jets didn’t as they were snubbed when they have some of the best and most patient fans in the world.

Yes, I know. The New York Jets, in the grand scheme of things, don’t have much to brag about. After all, the Jets have only won and appeared in a single Super Bowl back when Joe Namath was guaranteeing a victory in the big game. For many decades after that epic Super Bowl III win, the Jets have provided heartbreak but also have many amazing memories.

From the Monday Night Football miracle, back-to-back AFC Championship Games, and many come-from-behind victories against powerhouse opponents, the Jets are one of the most popular teams in the world. While many believe that the Jets are a team of mediocrity, at this point in time, they finally have a leadership regime that is rebuilding the franchise the right way.

General manager Mike Maccagnan is currently rebuilding the team to have a brighter future. It’s evident in his draft choices the past two years as he’s upgraded many key positions on the roster with young talent that is getting developed and on their way to be future stars.

It’s not easy to rebuild but Maccagnan spent most of the last offseason purging the roster of overpaid and most of all, unproductive veterans to not only save salary cap money but create a unique culture. A culture that is built upon working hard, doing whatever it takes to win football games, and most importantly, playing for each other towards success.

The Jets so far this season have overachieved and it’s a remarkable story. While they’re inconsistent to a degree, they’re 4-6 at this point in time and are just one game out of the AFC Wild Card spot. Not for nothing, that’s an amazing feat just on its own considering almost everyone considering the Jets to be the worst team in football and probably end up with a final record of 0-16.

FanSided’s Fandom 250 features 16 NFL teams whose fanbases are considered to be the best of the best. In an article written by Josh Hill of FanSided, here’s the list:
