Heading into Week 10 fantasy football, owners would be wise to start wide receiver Jermaine Kearse of the New York Jets as a FLEX option.

The New York Jets hit the road this week to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both teams are on the opposite side of the spectrum as the Jets have a shot to be 5-5 on the year heading into their bye week and the Buccaneers are trying to end their five-game losing streak. Should fantasy football owners take a risk on starting wide receiver Jermaine Kearse as he faces the defense of the Buccaneers?

In the grand scheme of things, Kearse has been in a bit of a slump. He hasn’t scored a touchdown in two weeks and well, is due to have some big plays designed for him against the struggling Buccs defense.

Considering that he’s been relatively quiet over the past two weeks, fantasy football owners should expect to see Kearse have a bigger role in this Week 10 matchup. Since all eyes will be on the emerging Robby Anderson, this could play well for Kearse to have a big day in the office.

Fantasy owners would be wise to start Kearse but only as a FLEX option if no other better alternatives are available. The Jets want to continue adding to their momentum due to a huge win over the Buffalo Bills last week as this is the perfect time to air it out and win a statement game on the road.

Kearse has the speed, route-running, and the skill-set to be a difference maker in this matchup and if Anderson does see a lot of double teaming, it should open things up well for him to do some serious damage.

Expect to see Kearse find the end zone at least one or twice in this matchup as he’s undoubtedly worth starting this week. The Jets should win this game and enter their bye week at .500 while looking good to finish their season strong with hopes of making an appearance in the NFL Playoffs. Crazier things have happened in the NFL and since Kearse is an impact player on offense, expect to see the Jets use him heavily in this matchup.
