Heading into Week 10 fantasy football, if you’re one of the lucky ones that own running back Bilal Powell of the New York Jets, he’s a must-start against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The New York Jets hit the road in Week 10 action as they’re set to go up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. The Jets have a golden opportunity to start a two-game win streak going into their bye week as the Buccaneers have been struggling as of late. If the Jets are to have a shot at beating the Buccaneers, it’ll be due to their ground game, much to the rejoice of fantasy football owners that have running back Bilal Powell.

Powell had a big game last week behind starting running back Matt Forte. Against the Buffalo Bills, Powell totaled 74 rushing yards on nine attempts but didn’t score a touchdown. Considering that it’s been four long weeks since Powell scored a touchdown on the ground, expect to see that change against the Buccaneers.

With Forte officially ruled out due to a knee injury, it bumps up Powell to lead the charge against the struggling run defense of the Buccaneers. Expect to see the Jets focus on what works and that’s establishing the run early and often just like they did the week before against the Bills.

Expect to see the Jets unleash their two-headed monster at running back between Powell and rookie Elijah McGuire. While McGuire will also see a lot more reps due to Forte being out, Powell will steal the show and more than likely put on a clinic against the Buccaneers.

Fantasy football owners would be wise to either start Powell as an RB2 option or even at the FLEX position since he should see the end zone at least one or twice in this matchup and be heavily used on offense.

Powell is a dual-threat dynamic player who can deliver results either on the ground or as a receiving option out of the backfield. Expect to see the Jets give Powell a plethora of opportunities to do what he does best which easily makes him a must-start in Week 10 fantasy football.
