Week 9 fantasy football brings an interesting matchup between the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets. Wide receiver Robby Anderson is worth starting this week in fantasy football as a FLEX option.
For the past few weeks, Robby Anderson has slowly risen up the depth chart of the New York Jets and made his case to be their top wide receiver. It took some time but his fantasy football value has been rising as for the past two weeks, he’s hauled in a lot of receptions and scored at least one touchdown. Is he worth starting in Week 9 action at home against the Buffalo Bills?
In the grand scheme of things, Anderson is worth starting as a FLEX option since he will more than likely continue seeing more passes his way and especially in the red zone. Last week against the Atlanta Falcons, Anderson had one of his best games of the season.
In that game, Anderson totaled 104 receiving yards, caught all six targets that went his way, and scored a touchdown. Unlike fellow wide receiver Jermaine Kearse who has developed a case of the dropsies, Anderson is one of the most reliable receiving options on the Jets offense.

Fantasy football owners would be wise to start Anderson this week but only as a FLEX option. If he continues this kind of momentum, he’ll earn his way up to a WR2 ranking over the next few weeks but for now, just isn’t there yet.
Expect to see Anderson have another strong game and do his best to end the current three-game losing streak that is haunting the Jets. Yeah, they’ve been in every game they lost but ultimately, were a few plays (and a lot of penalties) away from leaving each one victorious.

It’s hard to see the Jets break their losing streak but expect to see them go to Anderson often which bodes well for those that own him. If there is any Jet that has the highest fantasy upside this week, it’s Anderson.
