Heading into Week 7 fantasy football, wide receiver Jermaine Kearse of the New York Jets is worth starting against the Miami Dolphins.

Wide receiver Jermaine Kearse has so far been as consistent as they come on offense for the New York Jets. He tends to catch mostly everything thrown his way and has put the Jets in a position to be competitive in football games. Should fantasy football owners consider starting him in Week 7 action against the Miami Dolphins?

Considering how solid Kearse’s stats have been so far this season, he’s a viable option this week. Even though the pass defense of the Dolphins is indeed a tough one, he should continue to be the go-to target for quarterback Josh McCown.

While McCown is projected to not do well this week in fantasy football, if owners are in need of a potential FLEX option that should get at least a touchdown or two in Week 7, Kearse could be your guy.

More from Jets Fantasy Football

So far this season, Kearse has totaled 299 receiving yards, 26 receptions, and three touchdowns. Since he didn’t score a touchdown last week in a heartbreaking loss to the New England Patriots, expect to see the Jets once again feature him on offense this week against the Dolphins.

Kearse is an impact player and if the Jets want to have any shot at beating the Dolphins on the road, it’ll be by putting players like him in a position to thrive. Due to McCown being a below average quarterback at best when it comes to his fantasy football value, it truly inhibits Kearse from having even better stats.

For now, Kearse is at least worth starting as a FLEX option if you have no other alternatives that have a more favorable matchup. The truth of the matter is, Kearse is the best wide receiver the Jets have as one better believe he’s going to get more reps coming his way to bounce back from last week’s loss.

Kearse isn’t worth anything more than a FLEX option this week but make sure to double check your waiver wire to see if any other players could give you more points in Week 7 fantasy football. Otherwise, Kearse wouldn’t be that bad of an option to consider starting.
